Get A Life
Of Your Own

It's good to be!What was going on in your life while you were focused on how others should be living theirs?  If you claim to know, you’re full of shit.

Investing your precious time and energy into judging another is a way to avoid facing what you don’t like about yourself.  What if, instead of spewing your thoughts about what other folks should be doing, you created some of your own business to talk about?

The moment you want to immerse or insert yourself into someone else’s world, why not…

  1. Google a topic that’s most fascinating to you and learn something new
  2. While you at it, find a group of people that like the same thing www.meetup.com and commit to going to the next gathering.
  3. Get some exercise – you’ll feel good afterward.
  4. Fix, eliminate or replace the things that have been fucking up your state of mind – your world will be a more peaceful place.
  5. Call someone you miss.
  6. Go somewhere new and say hello to everyone you see (most small kids and older people are truly touched that you notice them).  If you’re a recluse, find a corner and enjoy the solitude.
  7. You get the point…

Surely you know the experience of being immersed in a thing you love.  Everyone and everything else disappears and you lose track of time because you’re excited – anticipating the next steps (as I am right now).  It’s called flow.

Who has time to gossip or judge when they’re flowing within the things they enjoy – the things that define their Soul? There’s not much time to give a damn about what’s right or wrong for others when you’re simply doing you.

If you’ve been denying your Self by starving your Soul, a small step in a new and more genuine direction will lead to big changes in your life.  You’ll find yourself engaged in conversation that’s interesting to other evolved and confident people.  That’s right – you’ll be more confident and interesting to hear and see. It all starts with that first step… it’s simple.

You’ll find those who’d rather judge others than look at themselves stepping back.  Your gossip-mongering associates will lose interest in you.  You’ll come to represent a level of pressure - a challenge for them to get lives of their own.  Fear not, they will be replaced by other genuine people who’ve also mustered up the courage to live interesting and self-expressive lives.

Simply do you.  You’ll find yourself respecting other people’s right to do the same… you’ll find there’s nothing to gossip about, there’s no one to judge and you only truly have time to live your own life.

Simply do you.
