Time To Face Your Funk

headinsandassinairEver notice how hard it is to breathe with your head buried in the sand?  Losing your sense of sight is bad enough; well, not so bad - you were willing to sacrifice clarity of vision when you dug that hole.

As time moves on that thing you’re trying desperately to ignore is getting bigger, or smaller.  And there you are, ass in the air with your head in the ground trying to convince yourself that what you can’t see might just go away.  Out of sight out mind, right?

Putting off the inevitable isn’t going to serve your best interests.  You know that.  About how much air do you have left in that hole you’ve stuck your head in?  Aren’t you struggling to breathe?  I’m just curious because this issue you’re ignoring isn’t budging until you come back out to deal with it.  Your thing is getting in other people’s way, and you look ridiculous with your ass in the air.

Pull your head out of the sand, get some air (before you suffer brain damage) and come clean this mess up.  Get it over with already!  So it won’t be easy… so what?  You might learn you’re more resilient and have more resolve than you think.  Yep, the very thing you’re hiding from stands to empower you with a level of wisdom you’ve yet to comprehend. You’ll be smarter, brighter and you’ll look better in the light of day.  At the very least, you’ll be able to breathe a sigh of relief.

You really do look cowardly and foolish with your head in the sand… and someone’s about to paint a bullseye on your ass.  What’s out of your sight and out of your mind might be about to slap you back into reality in the nastiest of ways. You’re extremely vulnerable with your head in the sand.

It’s time to face the funk so you can move on to doing more of what we love about You – we’ll all have much more respect for you and it’ll be nice to see your face again.  You can do this.

Face your fears and simply do you.

Well said. I once had my head in the sand until someone kicked my backside. I know now it’s best to face my issues.
